Son del Pueblo / Of the People, 2020

Series of ceramics with different dimensions.

Valle de Xico Community Museum in the State of Mexico with whom Maria Thereza Alves has been collaborating with since 2009 has requested supportive actions for what is considered the illegal closure of their museum by municipal authorities.

Son del Pueblo asks invited contributors to make a ceramic work inspired by one of the works in the museum’s collection. An image of the work (which does not need to be fired in a kiln) and contributor along with first name (full name is also possible) and city can be sent to: studio@mariatherezaalves.org. The images will be posted on the museum’s website, Alves’s website as well as on instagram.

The PDF below provides more information including images of the collection.

Enviar a studio@mariatherezaalves.org.
